OBITUARY

JAMES LEVEN MOSES the son of Nettie Douglas Moses and the late George Moses of Cape Charles, Virginia was born March 2, 1943 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  He departed this life Friday, April 1, 2005.

James received his education in the public schools of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Northampton County, Virginia.  He touched many lives in the community by having an open heart and a helping hand.

James met and joined in Holy Matrimony with Christine Ames Moses.  This union was blessed with four devoted children. 

He leaves behind to treasure his loving memories: wife, Christine; mother, Nettie; Sharmeyne Cherry (Richard) of Hopewell, VA, Manetta Johnson (Johnny) of Prince George, VA, Delzenia Jones (Frank) of Petersburg, VA, Derick Smith of Petersburg, VA, Terry Staten of Savannah GA, Cora Staten of Cape Charles, VA, Dawn Smith (Jarid) of Stafford, VA, Chrishaentez Moses of Norfolk, VA, and Vanessa Collins of  Eastville, VA; one sister, Clarastine (Tina) Moses of Cape Charles, VA; one uncle, Ralph Moses of Pocomoke, MD; four aunts, Clarastine Spady of Cape Charles, VA, Mary Stevens of Norfolk, VA, Martha Thorpe of Philadelphia, PA, Geraldine (Tony) Mitchell of Philadelphia, PA; great uncle, Cecil Coston, Bronx, NY; seven grandchildren; a devoted cousin, Penelope Stevens of Norfolk, VA; special friend, Clarence Bailey; a host of cousins and friends.
