IN LOVING MEMORY
                             OBITUARY

HATTIE MOSES SPADY, daughter of the late Alfred and Estella Spady Moses was born in Townsend, Virginia October 15, 1922.

She departed this life March 21, 2003 at the Shore Memorial Hospital, Nassawadox, Virginia.

Hattie was a member of First Baptist Church, Capeville, Virginia.  Until recent failing health, Hattie sang in the Choir and served as a Missionary.  She received a life membership in the Division of Women at the Baptist General Convention.

She was employed at G L Webster Canning Company, Kane Miller, and C & D Seafoods until retirement.

Hattie was at her best when she was taking care of her family.  She devoted her life to her husband and son and helped her mother raise her niece Christine (sister).  She is well remembered for her kind, loving and calm spirit.  Whenever asked, "How are you?", she'd reply, "I'm feeling alright for an old lady".

The family will miss her gentle slow smile
Our dear beloved Hattie
Has gone the last mile
We bid her farewell with
Hearts full, but not sad
As we wait on the resurrection
To make our hearts glad

Hattie leaves to mourn her loss: her beloved husband, Louis E. Spady; the light of her life, her son, Louis A. Spady; a special niece, loved as a daughter, Christine (Moses) Wilcox; two grandchildren, Latoya Spady and Kevin Spady; three sisters, Velma Cox, N.J., Katherine Jacob, VA., and Augustine Wescott, VA.; one brother, Andrew Moses, VA.; three sisters-in-law, Vivian Dent, Fannie Moses, and Roberta Moses; four brothers-in-law, Fred Cox, Earl Wescott, Raymond Spady, and Arbria Spady; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Be of good courage family and friends
Today is not where our story ends
May you use all of the time
That you have left
To love and to cherish
Your family before death
Put away all differences
Grudges and strife
Do all that you can
To make amends and do right
Then you'll have no regrets
on the last day
of your life.

In Appreciation

The family wishes to thank everyone for all acts of love and kindness expressed during our time of bereavement.  May God bless each of you..
