CHESTER ROSS TROWER, SR. was born August 15, 1924 in Northampton County, VA and departed this life on December 22, 2003.
His parents, the late Annie Phillips and James Henry Trower, preceded him in death.
His wife, Reverend Mary Bailey Trower, whom he married on February 3, 1944, survives him. To this union were born five children, Chester R., Jr. (Bonnie) of Piedmont, SC; Charles T. (Saundra) of Tarpon Springs; FL, Larry E. (LaRetta) of Smithfield, VA., Nancy A. Greene (James) of Columbus, GA., and James C. (Jennifer) Trower of Chesterfield, VA.; Deacon Trower also leaves 23 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; one sister, Bernice Manns of Trenton, N.J., and three sisters-in law; a host of nieces and nephews to mourn his passing and cherish his memory.
He was a life long member of Bethel Baptist Church and served in various capacities including Chairman of the Deacon’s Ministry. He retired from A&P Food Stores, Exmore, Virginia and Northampton-Accomack Memorial Hospital, Nassawadox, Virginia.
