Obituary

CAPTOLIA (BERNICE) WATTS, known to the family as “Bunny”, was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania April 14, 1932.

After a few years, she moved to New York, New York.  She worked for the Board of Education in Brooklyn, New York for thirty years.  Captolia was also a member of the United Federation of Teachers.

She resided in Manhattan for over forty years after which she moved to Virginia and the community of Treherneville where she spent the last three years of her life.

Captolia is survived by: three sisters, Verline Jones, Ethel Jones and Rosie Dozier, and one brother, Roger Jones, all of Treherneville, VA.; her twin brother, Bernard and her brother, Felton preceded her in death.  She is also survived by: six nieces, Virginia Jones, Washington, D.C., Lenora Jones, Johnsontown, VA., Zina Jones, Kimberly Fitchett and Mona Jones, Treherneville, VA., and Karen Jones, Toledo, OH.; six nephews, Ray Jones, Silver Beach Road, Bernard Jones, Treherneville, VA., Anthony Jones, Dallas, TX., Larry Jones, New Britain, CT., Stephon Jones, Brooklyn, N.Y. and Raymond Burrows, Wisconsin; one niece-in-law, three nephews-in-law, twenty-two great nieces and nephews, one sister-in-law, one brother-in-law, a number of other relatives and friends.
